FAQ

Why cold-pressed products?

Our cold-pressed method effectively extracts potent hemp oil without the use of solvents. This means no harsh or toxic chemicals. No harsh treatments. Through this method, our hemp oil maintains full nutrient, terpene, and cannabinoid profiles native to the plant thus increasing the bioavailability of our products. Bioavailability: Your body’s ability to easily uptake and effectively use nutrients instead of compounds passing through the body without benefit.

Full-Spectrum versus Broad-Spectrum?

Full-spectrum means a product includes all cannabinoids, terpenes, and nutrients found naturally within the plant. Broad-spectrum includes most of these, but the THC is extracted and removed. Though many people like the idea of broad-spectrum because there is 0 THC, we suggest full-spectrum products to maximize health benefits associated with the entourage effect.

Are Upstream Organics products marijuana?

No. Cannabis in an umbrella term that includes both hemp and marijuana. The amount of THC and CBD a cannabis plant produces distinguishes hemp from marijuana. Marijuana is typically high in THC content and low in CBD, while hemp is typically low in THC and high in CBD. At the Federal level, to be legally considered hemp, cannabis may not contain more than 0.3% THC by dry weight. Upstream Organics only works with legal industrial hemp to produce our CBD products.

Will I get “high” using Upstream Organics CBD products?

No. CBD is non-psychoactive and will not cause consumers to feel the euphoric “high” commonly associated with THC.

Will Upstream Organics CBD products show up on a drug test?

Our products are full-spectrum and comply with federal laws regulating THC content in hemp products. However, because our products contain trace amounts of THC (no more than 0.3%), a positive drug-test result is possible. We do not suggest consuming any cannabinoid product if you expect to be drug tested.

Can I travel with CBD?

Hemp and CBD products have been marketed and sold in all 50 states and over 40 countries. We strongly encourage users to verify with local government, police departments, and customs offices prior to travel or purchase for the most current information regarding CBD legality. This answer should not be considered legal advice; verify with your own local authorities to ensure individual compliance before consuming, purchasing, and traveling with these products.

Age limit to use CBD?

Most CBD consumers are 18+. We highly recommend those who wish to use CBD in children under 18 to consult a medical professional to clinically assess their needs and treatment route. Upstream Organics only sells to individuals 18+.
